John 1:7

He came as a witness,

What does a witness do?

Tell about something you have witnessed.

How do you become a witness?

Do you have the qualifications to be a witness for God?

What qualities does a good witness have?

How can a witness influence someone else?

Why is it important to have a witness to something?

to bear witness about the light,

Who did John bear witness to?

What do you think John said about the “Light”?

How do you think John influenced others?

What would you say about the “Light” if you were His witness?

Are you a faithful witness to the “Light”? If yes, give an example. If no, what would have to change so you became a faithful witness?

that all might believe through him.

What is this verse saying that “all might” do?

What does it mean to believe?

What does believing include or involve?

Have you believed in Jesus?

The word “through” in this verse means “on account of” or “because of”. Has anyone believed on account of you?

Did you come to believe on account of someone else? What about that person, or what did that person say, that caused you to believe?

How has your life changed since you believed? (Or, how would your life change if you believed?) This could be applied to salvation or a difficult situation in your life.
